To Customize Object Attributes

Follow these steps to customize object attributes.
  1. From the Launchpad, click the Configuration icon ( ). Configuration options appear.
  2. Locate the Application group.
  3. Click Object Types.
    The Object Types Configuration page appears, for example,
  4. Click an object Name link from the list. The Object Types Configuration page for the selected object appears, for example,
  5. To customize the object name as it appears in the user interface, edit the Display text.
  6. To customize the object's header display text as it appears in the user interface, enter or accept the Header display text.
  7. To customize the object's header display text as it appears in the user interface, enter the format of the text that you want to appear in the object's header title in the Header display title.
    Tip: You can combine static text with placeholder values for field data, using {{ }} brackets. For example, inserting Doc Title - {{Code}} in a document's Header Display Title would display as follows:
  8. To define a default hierarchy for the object, enter a Default hierarchy.
  9. To define a template display format, enter a Template display format.
  10. If you want to bind to the template on loading, enable Template Bind On Load.
  11. To define a treeview display format, enter a Treeview Display Format.
  12. To show the header image in tree views, enable Display Header Image in Treeviews.
  13. To display only list relationships, enable Show only List Relationships.
  14. To customize the Quick Search user interface for this object you can enter the format to Select, Filter, Selected display format, and Popup columns by populating the appropriate boxes as desired. For example, the following displays a possible Quick Search formatting for an Asset object:
  15. When you are finished, click Save Changes ( ).
